Custom Web Experience / VIP Design Day / Photography
Supporting artists in the DIY scene of Chicago, hits home for me. I remember living in Chicago in my early 20s collaborating with artists who practiced in all kinds of mediums, photography, painting, music, and more. When I had the opportunity to build a custom Showit website and blog for Fux with Magazine — I was jazzed! Their mission to hype and uplift artists in the city is inspiring. They are truly creating a movement and I’m so lucky to be part of it.
Check them out on Instagram.
Fux with Magazine is a online magazine and creative collective dedicated to recognizing, appreciating, and unraveling Chicago’s signature DIY arts scene, and more specifically, the voices of those who mold it.
Fux with Magazine was originally on Squarespace which limited them to using just a template because of the inability to custom code. The magazine was also looking for Canva templates to use interchangeably to easily put out new blog features onto social media.
After research and strategy call, we knew exactly what they needed to attract an audience to their website and blog. We created a solution of custom building a Showit website design that allows the magazine to easily update the website as needed, with a modern, edgy, and editorial vibe that showcases their work, background story, and mission. To accent the DIY Chicago city culture, we used neon colors and animations to bring the website to life.
Website Pages we included are the following: Home, About, Gallery, Blog, Contact
Now Fux with Magazine has a custom-built Showit website with artistry elements, personality, easy navigation, and showcases DIY Chicago Artists’ work, features, and interviews.
